Infographics & Health Care

Strange Maps is posting with a vengeance tonight, and this one is my favorite so far.

Small Healthcare Map

I’ve heard all about Cuba from my MPH friend, Keith, but having a doctor:patient ratio infographical map is invaluable in viewing developing-devloped disparity. Twenty-five of the bottom 30 nations, with ratios ranging from 5,300:1 to 50,000:1, are in Africa. The United States’ ratio is 390:1; Cuba’s is best at 170:1.

This infographic was produced for Doctors of the World.
