A tip for the Philly-bound

Franklin Fountain

I visited a friend in Philadelphia several months ago and at some point, I had the urge for some ice cream. You know how it gets.

My friend took me to Franklin Fountain (No. 116 Market Street. Phila. PA 19106) where I was enchanted by original architectural details, the mustach’d service gentlemen, and most importantly, the hand-made ice cream. Their website is similarly fantastic and tells the story of how the two founding brothers purchased the space in 2003 from “Eroticakes.”
