New Mammal with Flexible Snout
01 Feb 2008 by David Goligorsky
The BBC has reported the discovery of a really excellent-looking new species of mammal related to the elephant shrew, which is pictured above. The new species is Rhynochocyon udzungwensis. It uses its snout to “flick up insects.” How shrewd.
